Founding CEO

PVE, Gender Youth Expert

Gazbiah Sans

Gazbiah Sans is an international counter-terrorism (CT) and preventing violent extremism (PVE) expert with over 15 years of experience, specializing in youth radicalization, women’s empowerment, and gender-responsive prevention in fragile and conflict-affected settings. She has advised and led programs for national governments and multilateral institutions, including USAID and the World Bank, shaping policy and practice across Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.

 

Gazbiah is a recognized authority on extremism and focuses on how gendered narratives are used to recruit and mobilize young people on online ecosystems. She has published extensively on PVE, youth, gender, and online radicalization, and regularly contributes to global policy discussions and practitioner forums.

 

She serves on the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism’s working group on Addressing Youth Radicalization and Mobilization, contributes to the Christchurch Call Advisory Network, and advises the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF).

 

Gazbiah is the Founding CEO of PVE Works--a leading organization advancing rights-based, innovative approaches to counter on-and offline radicalization and empower youth and women as agents of prevention.​​
